The Givenchy Code by Julie Kenner
Melanie Prescott is your typical nerdy girl. With a penchant for solving codes, she was a natural at the popular Internet game Play.Survive.Win. She excelled at all three roles in the PSW game: target, protector, and hunter. It has been years since Mel has played PSW, but that is all about to change. Unbeknownst to Mel someone has taken PSW from the virtual world and moved into our own. Before long Mel finds herself a target with an assigned protector. And in this live version of PSW, Mel’s ability to quickly solve
codes may be the only thing standing between her and certain death.
The Givenchy Code, the first in a promised trilogy, is a light fun read that is guaranteed to be at the top of many readers’ summer reading lists. I highly recommended this book to fans of Chick Lit, as well as readers who enjoy a light mystery with a touch of romance. This is a particularly strong selection for readers who enjoy smart female characters that are unapologetic about their intelligence. Readers who enjoy The Givenchy Code can look forward to the next book in the trilogy, The Manolo Matrix.
The Library Diva recommended this on 6/19/05.
