Dirty Little Secrets by Julie Leto
Marisela Morales is at loose ends. After losing her job working as a bail enforcement agent, she is unsure of what career path to take next. When ex-boyfriend Frankie Vega unexpectedly shows up in town, Marisela is presented with an opportunity to put her unique skills to use: go undercover in a gun runner’s operation and rescue a kidnapped girl. But all is not as it would appear and before she knows it Marisela finds herself caught up in a dangerous world she may not survive.
Dirty Little Secrets is a fantastic start to what promises to be an exciting series from author Julie Leto (aka Julie Elizabeth Leto). I highly recommend this to readers of mystery and suspense, particularly those who like lead female characters that can kick more than a little ass. This is also recommended to Chick Lit readers who enjoy a touch of danger and suspense in their story. Readers who enjoyed Dirty Little Secrets will want to pick up the next book in the series, Dirty Little Lies (coming June 2006).
The Library Diva recommended this on 6/19/05.
