Charmed
by Beth Ciotta
After receiving a message from his best friend that "the princess is danger," professional bodyguard Colin Murphy finds himself on a mission to protect Lulu Ross. As beloved children's storyteller, Lulu has no idea why anyone would want to hurt her, let alone stalk her. But one thing becomes crystal clear after several unfortunate events: someone is after Lulu and they won't stop until they have her. Will Colin be able to figure out who is after her in time? Or will his attraction to the zany and unpredictible Lulu cause him to lose his focus and put her in even further danger?
Like Ciotta's Jinxed, Charmed is a light hearted contemporary romance that all romance readers will enjoy. Lulu is a charming character (no pun intended) who will appeal to all readers. Her profession as a children's storyteller and casino performer allows the author to place Lulu and Colin in some very funny situations. Also, the continuing story arc of Rudy and Jean Pierre's romance (which will be completed in Ciotta's third book, Seduced) once again makes this book a true stand out from other contemporary romances today. I would recommend this book to any reader who is a fan of the romance genre, and in particular readers who like humor and action in their romances. By the end of Charmed readers will find that they are anxious for the third and final book in the trilogy, Seduced.
